In Vitro Propogation of Some Species From Orchidaceae Family Existing in The Natural Flora of Aegean Region

Abstract :A total of 21 species belonging to Orchis, Ophrys, Dactylorchiza, Serapias, Aceras, Anacamptis genera, Orchidaceae family, was collected from Aegean Region. Orchis laxiflora, Orchis sancta ve Serapias vomeracea were successfully cultured by means of embryo culture, but the other species did not grow. Tuber production rates of Orchis laxiflora and Orchis sancta were found to be higher in dark conditions at +5°C than normal conditions. For the same species successfully cultured, the optimum transfer time to the soil was august, while the percentage of developing plants was low in spring months.
