An Investigation on Second Crop Potato Production Under Tokat Conditions

Abstract :This study was conducted in order to determine the possibility of the second crop potato production at Tokat in 1993 and 1994. Five potatoes varieties, Resy, Sultan, Yaylakızı, Granola, isola were planted on july 9th and 17 th in 1993 and on july 13 th and 20 th in 1994. The plots were harvested in the first week of November each year. According to the results, the second crop potato cultivation could be possible under Tokat conditions. The highest tuber yield was obtained from cultivar Sultan insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2154.7 kg/da);, Yaylakızı insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2151.3 kg/da); and Resy insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2068.7 kg/da);. Early planting were resulted high yields.
