Abstract :Dichoropetalum alanyensis Bilgili, Sağıroğlu and H.Duman, a new species from South Anatolia in Turkey insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Antalya-Alanya);, is described and illustrated. It is closely related to D. Chryseum insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Boiss. And Heldr. Ex Boiss.); Pimenov and Kljuykov, from which it differs mainly by its habit, basal leaves and lobes, and mericarp features. Diagnostic morphological characters are discussed. Notes are also given on its ecology and conservation status, together with scanning electron micrographs of mericarp surface sculpturing pattern. ITS sequences were used for DNA fingerprinting. The data were analyzed with the SEAVIEW package. Standardized data were used to generate a dendrogram that revealed the phylogenetic relationships of taxa in tribes Selineae insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Dichoropetalum-Johrenia);, Tordylieae insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Cymbocarpum);, and Bupleureae insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Diplotaenia); from different localities.
