Abstract :A new alkaloid has been isolated from Isatis costata C.A.Mey. and assigned structure 1 on the basis of spectroscopic data including 1D and 2D NMR techniques. Methyl 2-acetoamidobenzoate insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2);, b-sitosterol insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(3);, and ursolic acid insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(4); were also isolated for the first time from this species.
