Abstract :A minor alkaloid, namely gracilamine, was isolated from Galanthus gracilis. This was the first example of a pentacyclic dinitrogenous alkaloid isolated from a member of Amaryllidaceae. The structure of this alkaloid was elucidated by means of comprehensive spectroscopic methods insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(1D and 2D NMR, MS, UV, IR);.
