Abstract :From the aerial parts of Phlomis samia an iridoid glucoside, shanzhiside methylester insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(1);, and three phenylethanoid glycosides, martynoside insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2);, 4``-O-acetylmartynoside insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(3); and samioside insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(4);, were isolated. From the overground parts of P. monocephala two iridoid glucosides, lamiide insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(5); and ipolamiide insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(6);, as well as three phenylethanoid glycosides, verbascoside insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(= acteoside); insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(7);, forsythoside B insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(8);, alyssonoside insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(9);, and one lignan glucoside, syringaresinol 4`-O-b -D-glucopyranoside insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(10);, were isolated. From the aerial parts of P. carica one phenylethanoid glycoside, verbascoside insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(= acteoside); insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(7); and three phenylpropanoid monomeric glucosides, syringin insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(11);, dihydrosyringin insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(12); and coniferin insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(13);, were isolated. The structures of the isolated compounds were elucidated by means of spectroscopic evidence. Phenylethanoid glycosides isolated from the title plants insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2-4,7-9); demonstrated scavenging properties toward the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(DPPH); radical in TLC autographic assay.
