Abstract :The whole plant material fo Centaurea cuneifolia Sm. afforded three sesquiterpene lactones; cnicin insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(1);, dehydromelitensin insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2); and dehydromelitensin-8-[insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2`-a-hydroxy-b- hydroxyethyl);-acryloyl);] insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(3);, the lignan; insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(-);-arctigenin insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(4);, flavonoids; salvigenin insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(5);, eupatilin insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(6);, jaceosidin insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(7);, acacetin insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(8);, kaemferol insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(9);, 5,7,4`-trihydroxy-3-methylether insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(10);, 5-hydroxy-3`,`,6,7-tetramethoxyflavone insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(11); and 5-hydroxy-3`,4`,7,8-tetramet hoxyflavone insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(12);, a triterpene; a-amyrin and a sterol; b-sitosterol.
