Abstract :ÖZET Büyük yerleşim bölgelerinin en önemli sorunlarından biri olan hava kirliliği her geçen gün dahil büyük boyutlarla karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Dahil ziyadefosil lWkenli yalatlarln kullanzlmasından oluşan CO2, NOx, SOx ve partildil değerleri insan sağlığını tehdit etmektedir. Bu çalışmada, çevre Sorunları Araştırma Merkezi tarafmlian yaklaşık 10 yıldan beri yapılan araştırmalar sayesinde Erzurum'daki hava kirliliğinin boyutları ve önlemleri araştınlmaya çalışılmıştır. CONTRIBUTION OF FOSIL FUELS TO THE AIR POLLUTION IN ERZURUM SUMMARY Steadily increasing air pollution problems thereaten the life in metropolitan cities. Especial!y, C0ı> NOx , SOx and the particles exhautedfrom chinmeys because of the use offossil originatedfuels are becoming a great danger for the human health. Aresearch project on the examination ofair pollution problem in Erzurum hils been supported by Environmental Research Center for ten years. The contrihution from the use offossil fuels to the air pollution in Erzurum has been examined and some proceutions has been proposed in this study.
