Abstract :ÖZET Bu çalışma Daphan ovası topraklarının kullanım potansiyellerin belirlenmesi ve gerekli Önerilerin geliştirilmesi için detaylı temel toprak etüdü ile birlikte yürütülmüştür. Ova topraklarında, kullanımı sınırlayan başlıca özünler, sırasıyla iklim, ağır bünye, sığlık, eğim ve erozyon ile az bir kısmında ise taşlılık ve çıakıllılıktır. Etüd sahasındaki toprakların, % 63.3'ü 111. sınıf, % 19'u IV. sınıf, % 6.9'u VI. sınıf ve % 10.8'i ise Vll. sınıf olarak sınıflandırılmıştır. LAND CAPABILITY CLASSIFICATION OF DAPHAN PLAIN SUMMARY This investigation was carried out as detailed basic soil survey in order lo determine land use potantial of Daphan plain soils and to develop necessary recommandations. The land caharacteristic, profil descriptions and results of some laboratory analys'ıs of soil samples laken from soil horizons were used in distinguishing of mapping units. shown by the results, 63.3 %, 19 %, 6.9 %, 10.8 % of surveyed soils were defined in respect to land use classifıcation as third,fourth, sixth and seventh class respectively.
