Abstract :The effects of different fuel cetane numbers and fuel injection pressures on a diesel engine emission were investigated. For this purpose, fuels with 46, 51, 54.5 and 61.5 cetane numbers were tested in a 4-stroke, 4-cylinder, turbocharged direct injection diesel engine. Measurements were conducted for injection pressures of 100, 150, 200 and 250 bars.
