19F NMR Study of Flux-Line Dynamics in Fluorinated YBa2Cu4O8

Abstract :Measurements of the 19F NMR linewidth D n and spin-lattice relaxation rate 1/T1 have been performed in an oriented powder sample of fluorinated YBa2Cu4O8 at temperatures 4 < T < 300 K and static magnetic fields 0.3 < H0 < 9.4 T for Hollc. Thermal motion of flux lines was evidenced from the effect on NMR linewidth while 1/T1 showed the effects due to interaction with Fermi liquid.
