Abstract :The submilimeter-wave spectrum of the {\em trans} isopropyl alcohol was studied in the frequency range from 240 to 480 GHz. More than 170 lines were assigned to ground state transition. The identification of the high J transitions was checked by centrifugal distortion analysis. The frequencies of all transitions were least squares fitted to the Watson`s Hamiltonian, including two P8 terms. The ground-state rotational constants are insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(in MHz); A = 8489.0150, B = 8041.9182, C = 4765.2326, which yield an asymmetry parameter k = 0.75986663.
