Abstract :The objective of this study was to compare the efficacy of autogenous vaccine, autohaemotherapy and autogenous vaccine-autohaemotherapy combinations in the treatment of bovine papillomatosis. The study was performed on 27 cattle aged between 1 and 2.5 years. The animals were divided into three groups insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(nine in each group); as autogenous vaccine, autohaemotherapy and autogenous vaccine-autohaemotherapy combinations. Doses of 10 ml per animal were injected subcutaneously at weekly intervals, a total of four times in the autogenous vaccine group. In the autohaemotherapy group, blood withdrawn from the jugular vein was administered at three-day intervals, a total of four times, in 40 ml dosages. Autogenous vaccine-autohaemotherapy combinations were administered at the same doses and intervals as reported in other groups. Results were monitored for 3 months at 15-day intervals. Cures were observed within 1.5-2.5 months in seven cattle treated with autohaemotherapy, although there was no full recovery in the other two cattle. On the other hand, all the animals fully recovered within 1.5-2 months in the autogenous vaccine group, and within 1-1.5 months in the autogenous vaccine-autohaemotherapy combination group. In conclusion, recovery was earlier in the autogenous vaccine-autohaemotherapy combination group than in the others. Furthermore, autohaemotherapy might be an alternative method in the field.
