Abstract :The family Ctenobelbidae insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Acari, Oribatida); is recorded for the first time from Turkey. A new species of genus Ctenobelba, Ctenobelba insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Ctenobelba); ayyildizi sp. nov., is described based on the specimens collected from chestnut forest in the province of Manisa, Turkey. An identification key to the known subgenera of the genus is given. Scanning electron microscopy photographs of the newly described species are also provided. The new species differs from the related species by anteriorly diverging lamellae.
