Abstract :A total of 179 Barbus lacerta were caught in the Çıldır Lake-Ardahan from May to December 1991. The age composition of B.plebejus specimens were between I-V years and II years old dominated with a rate of 47.49%. In the stock the percentages were calculated as 55.15% for males and 44.85% for females. According to age groups I-V, to average forklengths were 150.61 mm; 193.88; 243.00 mm; 270.29 mm and 305,50 mm; average weights were 48.80 g; 103.95 g; 188.16 g; 257.07 g and 457.50 g respectively. Determined minimum and maximum forklengths were 110 and 320 mm; weights were 30 and 550 g.
