Abstract :This recent checklist of marine arthropods found on the coasts of Turkey represents a total of 1531 species belonging to 7 classes: Malacostraca insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(766 species);, Maxillopoda insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(437 species);, Ostracoda insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(263 species);, Pycnogonida insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(27 species);, Arachnida insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(26 species);, Branchiopoda insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(7 species);, and Insecta insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(5 species);. Seventy-five species were classified as alien species in the region. This paper also includes the first record of the amphipod Melita valesi from the Levantine coast of Turkey insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Kaş, Gulf of Antalya);.
