Abstract :This survey was carried out on the genus Macrocheles in Kelkit Valley, Turkey, during 2007-2012. Seven species, M. Muscaedomesticae insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Scopoli, 1772);; M. Glaber insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Müller, 1860);; M. Perglaber Filipponi and Pegazzano, 1962; M. Scutatus insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Berlese, 1904);; M. Merdarius insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Berlese, 1889);; M. Subbadius insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Berlese, 1904);; and M. Robustulus insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Berlese, 1904);, were recorded from the valley. M. Perglaber, M. Scutatus, and M. Subbadius are first records for the Turkish fauna. Original drawings and diagnoses for all known species of the genus from the valley are included. In addition, an identification key to the Turkish species of Macrocheles is provided here.
