Abstract :A new species, Surazomus rafaeli sp. nov., is described based on a male from the State of Rondonia, Brazil. It is characterized by a long, pointed, and curved ventral projection on the pedipalp femur, and a short and conical ventral projection on the pedipalp patella. Moreover, the male flagellum has Vm5 distant from Vl1, lacks Dl2, and the middle portion of the flagellum`s depression is raised and bearing Dm4.
