Abstract :Introduction: In our study, the aim was to assess the glenoid with glenopolar angle insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(GPA); measurements in cases with anterior shoulder dislocation and a control group. Methods: This comparative, retrospective radiologic study compared the GPA measured on direct radiographs of patients with shoulder dislocation insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Group 1); with a control group insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Group 2);. Results: The GPA in Group 1 was observed to be 32.34⁰ insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(std. dev. 1.96);, while it was 34.50⁰ insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(std. dev. 2.32); in Group 2 {significant difference was observed as p<0.001 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p<0.05);}. Conclusion: The results of this study show the GPA of patients with anterior shoulder dislocation was significantly lower compared to a control group. Glenoid alignment is a possible risk factor for anterior shoulder dislocation and should be considered during assessment and management of these cases. Keywords : Shoulder dislocation, Glenopolar angle, Glenoid
