Abstract :  Christian and Muslim people have interacted and influenced each other beginning from very early historical eras. Appealing to this mere historical fact, some Christian theologians misinterpreted this mutual interaction and reached the conclusion that Islam was a false religion which came into being as a consequence of Christian influence and dominance. As a natural consequence of interpreting Islam as a heretic branch of Christianity, quite a number of orientalists alleged that the Kalam became a discipline growing out of the influences of Christian theology. However, the historically preparatory processes leading to the birth of the Kalam science, the resources of the Kalam, its peculiar issues and its peculiar ways of problem solving rationale show that the extension of this mutual interaction is not as large and permissive as Christian theologians partially construed.
