Abstract :Colonialism can be defined as the hegemony of the rulers over the subordinates. The goal of colonialism is to forcefully provide the surface and underground resources of the colony for the metropolis. The colonialists used a variety of extreme methods to secure supplies from the colony. Postcolonialism, as a critique and theory, separates and deciphers the physical practices of the colonial period such as murder, deportation, looting, etc. In this work, we will evaluate the new Kurmanci poetry in relation to the concepts of colonialism and postcolonialism in the example of Rênas Jiyan\\\'s poems, and we will especially evaluate the expressions of postcolonialism in Rênas Jiyan\\\'s poems. Because of that, the scope of our work is only on Kurmanci poetry in the example of Rênas Jiyani\\\'s poems. Since our work will be based on the concepts of colonialism and postcolonialism, we will first focus on these two concepts. Then the situation of Kurds and Kurdistan will be evaluated on the basis of these two concepts and finally, the expressions of anti-colonialism in the poems of Rênas Jiyani will be evaluated. In this work, we came to the conclusion that the colonial practices in Kurdistan and their interpretations as a post-colonial theory in the poems of Rênas Jiyan were sometimes openly and sometimes purposefully separated and deciphered. After deciphering the colonial practices in Kurdistan with a postcolonial theory, finally, anti-colonial expressions appear in the poems of Rênas Jiyan. Keywords : Kolonyalizm, Post-kolonyalizm, Rênas Jiyan, Şiir
