Examination of 8th Grade Students' 3d Designs Created By Using Tı̇Nkercad Program In The Context Of Sustainability

Abstract :This study examines the perceptions of 8th grade middle school students towards the concept of sustainability in the context of their 3D designs and how the creativity of students who make 3D designs is related to 3D design making. In the study in which exploratory sequential design, one of the mixed method designs, was used, 24 students studying in the 8th grade represented the study group. The data collection tools were the 3D designs made by the students for sustainability, the Scientific Creativity Scale and semi-structured interviews to determine the students\' views on sustainability and the process. When the designs of the students are analyzed; renewable energy sources, recycling, clean environment and green space are emphasized. It is seen that there is a moderate, positive and significant relationship between the students\' creative thinking test scores and their average scores from 3D designs.
