Abstract :The study examined the influence of self-care strength and affecting factors on their perceptions of exercise barriers and benefits in ındividuals with dialysis. This was a cross-sectional study. The population was all individuals with dialysis living in Adana. The sample was calculated with power analysis, at least 149 individuals. The study was completed with 162 individuals receiving dialysis treatment. The data were collected using the \\\"Personal Information Form,\\\" \\\"Self-Care Strength Scale for Dialysis Patients (SSSDP),\\\" and \\\"Scale of Exercise Benefits/Barriers in Dialysis Patients (SEBDP) forms. The mean age of the study participants was 42.69±12.63 years, the participants\\\' mean total SSSDP score was 29.92±5.4, the Barriers of Exercise score was 36.14±5.46, and the Exercise Benefits score was 30,72±5,08. The model for exercise barriers explains 14.1% of the variance and for exercise benefits, on the other hand, explains 23.1% of the variance. The study results indicated that participants\\\' self-care strength levels were moderate, and while they perceived the benefits of exercise, this perception also remained at a moderate level. These findings suggested that regular exercise significantly impacts perceived barriers and benefits and that education level and health status played a critical role in shaping exercise perceptions. Keywords : diyaliz, hastalar, öz-bakım, egzersiz faydaları/engelleri
