Abstract :Özet:                   Bu araştırmada, IX. sınıf coğrafya   öğretim programının eğitim-öğretim sürecinde yararlanılan araç-gereç, materyal ve yöntemler ile karşılaşılan sorunlar, öğretmen ve öğrenci görüşlerine göre ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. 490 coğrafya öğretmeni ve 1562 IX. sınıf öğrencisi örnekleme katılmış; veriler hazırlanan anket sorularıyla elde edilmiştir.   Elde edilen bulgulara göre, coğrafya eğitiminde ihtiyaç duyulan materyale kısmen ulaşılmakta, haritalar dışında yeterince araç-gereç ve materyal kullanılmamakta, ders kitapları öğrenci seviyelerine kısmen uygun bulunmakta ve en çok anlatım   yöntemi   tercih edilmektedir. Anahtar Kelimeler : Öğretim programı, araç-gereç, materyal, yöntem     Abstract: İn this study we attempted to determine the tools, materials, methods and the problems that are faced the process of ninth the class geography teaching programme according to the opinions of both students and teachers. 490 geography teachers and 1562 ninth class students were   included in the study and the date were obtained by using questionnaire. According to the date obtained, the materials needed for geography courses are partly obtained, no sufficent materials except maps are used, the course books are partly suitable for the levels of students and explanation method is commonly preferred.
