Abstract :Aim: This study aimed to examine global and nursing-specific research trends on chronic wound management among older adults between 2000 and 2025 using bibliometric methods. Materials and Methods: A bibliometric design was adopted. Data were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection and analyzed with the Bibliometrix R package and Biblioshiny interface. Publication outputs, citation patterns, co-authorship networks, and keyword trends were assessed. Results: A total of 50 publications in 37 journals authored by 228 researchers were identified. The annual growth rate was 1.7%, and the average number of citations per article was 24.8. Scientific productivity remained modest until 2015 but increased substantially after 2018. The most frequent keywords-pressure injury, prevention, prevalence, risk assessment, and care-indicated a strong emphasis on preventive nursing practices and clinical monitoring. The United States was the most productive country, followed by China, Australia, Brazil, and the United Kingdom. Türkiye’s recent contributions show promising regional growth. Conclusion: Nursing research on chronic wounds in older adults has shown steady expansion with a clear focus on prevention and quality of care. Future studies should strengthen international collaboration, integrate digital and artificial intelligence–based tools, and expand toward long-term and multidisciplinary care models to advance evidence-based geriatric nursing practice.
