Abstract :Öz Bu çalışmada, Modern Arap Edebiyatının önemli hikâye ve roman yazarlarından biri olan Abdurrahman Munîf’in hayatı, edebî kişiliği ve eserleri hakkında kısaca bilgi verildikten sonra “el-Bâbu’l-Meftûh” adlı hikâye seçkisinde yer alan “Risâle min Verâi’l-Hudûd” (Sınırlar Ötesinden Bir Mektup) adlı kısa öykünün tercümesi verilmeye çalışılmıştır.
