Abstract :Introduction: Nurses provides spiritual, religious and cultural care to its patients and increases the quality of care by taking into account cultural differences and similarities in a holistic manner, showing respect and sensitivity to cultural characteristics. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 205 nurses using the stratified sampling method. In this study, the Information Form, Intercultural Sensitivity Scale and Spiritual Care Giving Scale were used. Results: Nurses stated that they had the most difficulty in communication while providing treatment/care to patients from different cultures. When the correlation total scores between the scales were analysed, it was found that there was a positive correlation between the mean total scores of Intercultural Sensitivity Scale and Spiritual Care Giving Scale (p<0.05). Conclusions: This study showed that nurses\\\' intercultural sensitivity and spiritual care levels were high. It was determined that as nurses\\\' intercultural sensitivity levels increased, their ability to provide spiritual care increased. Implications for nursing and health policy: During undergraduate education, intercultural nursing models, cultural competence and culture-specific care practices should be taught and integrated into the clinic. The cultural sensitivities and spiritual caregiving situations of nurses working in hospitals, especially in clinics and intensive care, should be increased by improving their awareness of their cultural sensitivity and spiritual caregiving situations through in-service training.
