Abstract :Aim of this article is to put forward the standpoint of Rome, which was the center of Antiquity and the host of people all around the world, towards foreign cities and inhabitans of these cities. This study, which was based on the works of famous authors and philosophers of Antiquity, contains the selections especially from the authors like Martialis, Ovidius, Seneca and Iuvenalis who for a specific period in their life stayed out of Rome for a while (whether because they were sent into exile or had to stay abroad for a long time). We started with an epigram of Martialis from his work De Spectaculis that describes Roman Colosseum, then we considered the standpoint of Ovidius who was banished from Rome, towards Tomis and inhabitans of this city. Afterwards we tried to put forward Seneca's standpoint towards both Corsica where he was sent into exile and its inhabitants. Finally we tried to show Iuvenalis' approach to foreigners, especially to Eygypt and Egyptians. Thus from the eyes of eminent Roman authors, by the translations of original texts, we tried to explain what was the prevailed opinion in Rome about foreign cities and foreigners.
