Abstract :Düşünce tarihinin verimli bir sahası olan ütopya, ilk bakışta hayali, gerçek olmayan ve fakat ideal toplum tasarısıdır. Ancak biraz derinliğine bakıldığında mekânla, hatta kentle ilgili olduğu görülür. Bu bağlamda ütopyanın, kent hayatıyla, kentsel ve toplumsal düzenle, ideal hayat arayışıyla bağlantıları incelenmeye değer bir olgu olarak belirir. Ütopya, mekân ve kentin ideal formudur. Bu yazı, ütopya ve ütopik düşünceyi mekân ve kent bağlamında betimleyici bir şekilde irdelemektedir.
