Abstract :Conflict is a natural phenomenon in a society. If conflicts handled properly, ınterpersonal relations could be managed. Managing conflicts has a great contribution at interpersonal relations. The present study is about the role of conflict management styles at interpersonal relations. This study proposes that people\\\'s behavior in conflict situations on a grid having two axes: concern for self and concern for others. Based on the Dual Concern Theory, the purpose is to determine which conflict resolution strategies university students use in their interpersonal conflicts and whether conflict resolution strategies differ according to interpersonal relations. The sample consisted of students studying at Dokuz Eylül University in Izmir in the 2021-2022 academic year. The sample of the study consisted of 210 volunteer students aged 18-22 selected by simple random sampling method. The data of 203 participants were analyzed. The research was carried out using quantitative research model. In conflicts with friends, close friends, romantic friends, and mothers compromising is used the most and forcing is used the least.
