Abstract :Trachystemon orientalis L. is a plant belonging to the Boraginaceae family and growing in the Black Sea region. In this study, antioxidant and antimicrobial activities of T. orientalis (L.) were determined by different extraction preparation methods with water. Total phenolic content (TPC), DPPH and FRAP values, phenolic content and antimicrobial activity of the extracts were analyzed by HPLC extraction method that showed the highest antioxidant activity and total phenolic content was the T. orientalis (L.) plant extract boiled for 30 minutes. According to the antimicrobial activity results, the most sensitive bacteria to the extracts was S. enterica. The highest antimicrobial activity was found in boiling and resting extraction. According to HPLC analysis results, campferol was detected in T. orientalis (L.) leaves in boiling and resting extraction. In conclusion, the boiling extraction of T. orientalis (L.) revealed good antioxidant and antimicrobial activity. Keywords : Antioksidan aktivite, Antimikrobiyal aktivite, Fenolik bileşikler, T. orientalis L
