Abstract :This study was conducted in a greenhouse to determine the effect of irrigation water quality on radish yield and certain physical and chemical quality characteristics of the root (diameter, length, root flesh firmness, color, and pH and EC of root juice. Pot experiments were conducted with five different irrigation water salinity levels (S1=500 µmhos/cm, S2=750 µmhos/cm S3=1500 µmhos/cm, S4=2000 µmhos/cm, S5=2500 µmhos/cm). As a result of the study, plant water consumption was found to be 274.27 mm. The number and weight of radishes harvested decreased as irrigation water salinity level increased. Shorter plant heights were seen at higher salinity levels. Radish diameters decreased with increasing irrigation water salinity levels. Radish juice EC values also increased with increasing salinity levels. Radish L value did not differ, while redness increased with increasing salinity levels. It was concluded based on present findings that increasing irrigation water salinity levels decreased radish yield and had negative impacts on plant physical and chemical quality parameters. Keywords : Sulama suyu tuzluluğu, Toprak tuzluluğu, Turp, Tuzluluk, Verim ilişkileri
