Abstract :This study aims to examine the effect of origami activity on the achievement of the social studies lesson outcome in fourth grade students with learning difficulties. In line with this purpose, action research method was used in the study and study group was formed with 14 students. Data were collected through verbal questions asked to the students, worksheets, and semi-structured interviews. While verbal questions and worksheets were being scored, the interviews were subjected to content analysis. As a result of the study, it was seen that origami activities made positive contributions to students with learning difficulties in achieving the social studies outcome and provided retention of the target outcome. In addition, according to student opinions, it was concluded that origami activities facilitate understanding, facilitate learning, develop imagination as well as hand skills, and teach patience.
