Abstract :The aim of this study is to reveal the opinions of classroom guidance teachers working in secondary schools regarding the guidance activities they carry out and the sources of leadership influence (power) they employ in these activities. In order to reveal teacher perceptions in depth, the phenomenology pattern in the qualitative research model was used in the study. Study data were collected with an interview form containing semi-structured questions. The obtained data were subjected to content analysis technique. The study group consists of 11 male and 10 female teachers (21 in total), aged 27-52, from different branches, with at least 5 years of teaching experience, working in a total of three disadvantaged secondary schools located in different educational regions in Gebze district of Kocaeli province in the 2023-2024 academic year. The data obtained were analysed within the framework of two main problems related to the guidance activities carried out and the sources of influence (power) used in these guidance activities. The themes revealed regarding the guidance activities carried out were identified as rules, dealing with problems, academic issues, relationships and individual development. Themes related to the sources of influence (power) used in guidance activities were grouped under four themes as charismatic, expert, legal and reward sources of influence.Keywords : Rehberlik, rehberlik aktiviteleri, sınıf rehber öğretmenleri, liderlik, güç/etki kaynakları
