Abstract :In this study, copper hydroxynitrate insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Cu 2 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(OH); 3 NO 3 ); was synthesized by hydrothermal method using Cuinsert ignore into journalissuearticles values(NO 3 ); 2 .3H 2 O and Na 2 B 4 O 7 .10H 2 O as reactants with the addition of zwitterionic 3-insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(N,N-dimethyldodecylammonio); propanesulfonate insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(SB12); as the surfactant at 180˚C for 24h. The sample was calcined at 400ºC. The prepared samples were characterized by thermal gravimetric analysis insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(TGA);, X-ray diffraction insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(XRD);, Fourier Transform Infrared insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(FTIR); spectra, and scanning electron microscopy insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(SEM); techniques. According to X-ray diffraction results monoclinic copper hydroxynitrate insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Cu 2 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(OH); 3 .NO 3 ); and CuO were obtained at 180ºC, calcined at 400ºC, respectively. TG-DTA analysis showed single stage weight loss. The weight loss of 33.27% at 350°C represents a contemporaneous dissociation of HNO 3 and H 2 O. The FTIR analysis indicates the samples have O-H, O-NO 2, N-O and Cu-OH group bands. The SEM results reveal that the copper hydroxynitrate have micrometer-size hexagonal plates.
